A Letter To My Future Love

Dear Love of My Life,

I finally found you and I couldn’t be happier.  You have brought a love into my life that I never thought possible. You are everything I want and need.  You are strong, yet kind and think of others before yourself. You make me feel like I am the most beautiful woman when you look deeply into my eyes and tell me you love everything about me. You make me laugh, you make me feel alive.  Every moment with you feels like an adventure because spending time with you is an exploration of the new memories we will share for a lifetime. You make me feel protected and safe. You are honest and true. You are the man I have dreamed about and I even love your flaws. You make me a priority not an option.  You awaken passion and desire that I never knew I had.  You like walks on the beach sharing the moments of pure beauty in a sunset painted by God for our exquisite pleasure. You like sunny days at the park relaxing on a picnic blanket sharing a glass of wine and good conversation. You like exploring new places in quaint little towns browsing through little shops and appreciating the local flavor or going to a show in the big city.  You love to be with my friends watching the game at our local sports bar and sharing laughs.  You love my children and family and they love you. You love to travel and experience life through the eyes of others different from us.  You take care of me, but allow me to be independent and strong.  You love romance because of the smile it puts on my face. A quiet night cuddling up watching a movie is filled with affection.  You watch me when I’m sleeping and gently kiss my cheek to wake me. You leave me love notes on my car just to show you care.  You love to dance and sing and enjoy life to the fullest. You are responsible and thoughtful about your investments. You are everything.

I found you because I was ready for love.  I let go of the pain in my past and was open to giving my heart to a man that I want to spend my life with.  I let go of bitterness. I let go of fear. I let go of doubt and mistrust. Now I can love you like you deserve. Now I can love you with all my heart and soul.  I will be a kinder more gentle woman when I am with you, because you have smoothed out all my rough edges.  I want to make you happy and see you smile. I want to make you feel like a man that can trust my devotion and allow you to open your heart.   I want to do little things every day to show you I care. I want to create a partnership that is equal in acts of love. When you hold me in your arms I feel a warmth and protection that I have never felt.  I love you unconditionally as you love me.  We are partners in life and respect each other’s boundaries. We share our dreams and desires openly, free from fear and doubt.  We can’t stand to argue because the thought of feeling separated and disconnected isn’t worth being right.  We have our moments, nothing is perfect, but we are perfect for each other.

Now that I have found you, I will never let you go.  We will grow old together sipping iced tea on the porch reminiscing about our fondest memories.  We are connected. Inseparable. One love. Forever.
